I had an excellent experience here. The staff were the friendliest most helpful people ever. The whole facility is beautiful. The animals all looked great and in good health. They were able to pair me with a wonderful new dog. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND anyone looking for a new pet, come here. You can also look at the animals they have online before you go. I found that helpful.

Shout out to Lafayette Veterinary Care Center for the exemplary care we received when we brought in our cat, Princess. We noticed Princess was limping and not using her back left leg. It was about 6:30 PM and all the veterinary clinics around here were closed. I finally found Lafayette Veterinary Care Center and called them to see if I could bring Princess in. They told me to bring her in and they would treat her. It was a complex visit, so we were there for quite some time as they did everything to make sure Princess was comfortable before examining her and treating her for a puncture wound on her leg that was infected and quite swollen. Dr. Lauren and her staff were extremely pleasant and explained everything that they were going to do before doing it. After the x-rays were done, they showed them to us and explained the abnormalities to her leg. They went on to shave the leg and drain the pus and blood from the wound. As we were waiting in the exam room, one of the staff came in to see if we wanted water or coffee. I have never been treated so well! Everyone there was so kind and treated Princess, as though she was truly a real princess! We were sent home with pain medication, antibiotics, and anti-inflammatory medication. It hasn’t even been 48 hours since they treated her and she is already feeling much better and actually walking (although she is still walking with a slight limp, which she couldn’t do prior to her visit at Lafayette Veterinary Care Center!) I highly recommend them! Thank you, Dr. Lauren, and all the staff that were so kind to Princess and to us!!!!

Pro— Always a great “first choice” to go! The staff in the back is very helpful. Pretty clean for the amount of dogs. Really good adoption prices and you always get great goodie bags for your new babies! Con— The lady in the front (heavy set one) is SO BEYOND RUDE! Always! Not just “having a bad day”. I’m not sure who decided putting her in the front for customer service was a good idea but it was/is NOT! I can’t imagine someone of upper management can’t see or hear it either. Not only is she verbally rude, her facial expressions and disposition speaks volumes. Very disappointing and unacceptable!!!

My yorkiePoo Earned a 10 day quarantine stay here after giving our Neighbors Leg a nibble. Went to see to see him and he was happy,healthy, his kennel was clean and he even had outside access..this really gave me peace of mind and we were even able to give him a few treats and hugs.. All of the other Pets in there were also in good spirits.
